8/31/2017 0 Comments Get Epic!Epic! is a FABULOUS reading resource for K-5 classrooms. Epic! gives you instant access to a large digital library of fiction and non-fiction books for kids 12 and under. Educators also have the ability to create individual student profiles, personalized by student interest, and keep track of student progress. Epic! is available on iPads and on any computer. My favorite thing about Epic! is that it can be used in all areas of curriculum due to a wide range of non-fiction books. Check out the Epic! Educator Resources to learn how to set up your account, create student profiles and more. Once you have created your account and student profiles you can use this student introduction lesson to get started with your learners.

What Is Watchkin?
Watchkin allows educators to watch their videos with their kids in a distraction-free and safe environment by removing the clutter of ads and potentially offensive or obscene videos and comments. Watchkin is also great for educators who want to be able to share videos with their learners without the lure of "just one more." Watch your video and move on with your lesson. How It Works When someone shares a youtube video with you, just copy and paste the URL into the search box on Watchkin.com and you’ll be taken to a clean page to watch your video. No distracting or potentially offensive videos will appear. 8/21/2017 0 Comments Back to SchoolHappy first week of school! I know this first week is full of fun, but I wanted to remind you of some resources to help you get the year started off strong.
CISD Beginning of the Year K-5 Resources Access all the tools you need for the Digital Literacy overview at the links below. All learners in CISD must complete the Digital Literacy Overview by Sept. 4. When learner accounts are ready, I will email you. Then, you'll be able to help them login and change their passwords for the year using the first login quick resources. Don't forget that you are more than welcome to let me know if you'd like for me to come co-teach with you! Seesaw Seesaw can be an awesome way to promote a school - home connection. Many educators are planning to use Seesaw for digital learning journals, projects, reflection and more this year. The links below can help your learners get started with Seesaw. Schoology Schoology can be an amazing management system for your classroom digital workflow. It also can support the home to school connection when parents are able to participate as well. We are so excited to announce that Schoology has made its new Assessment Features available early to Coppell ISD! Not only are there some awesome new question types available, but an entirely new assessment piece of Schoology has been released as well. What’s New? Check out the overview: Schoology New Features Video We are excited to be on the forefront of this release and can’t wait to learn along side you! 8/18/2017 0 Comments Flipgrid Fun!
I am still learning names and faces at both Austin and Lakeside. I'd LOVE it if you'd record a quick video as a fun way for us to get to know each other!
Step 1 Download the Flipgrid App and enter my grid by using the code pz3ryng or Go to directly to my FlipGrid by following this link https://flipgrid.com/pz3ryng Step 2 Pick your school from my topics and record a short video response. Don't stress about this step! You can re-record your video as many times as you would like and I am NOT looking for perfection! You can also liven up your picture with emojis and other stickers. Step 3 (optional, but fun) Watch someone else's video responses. You do not need to set up an account to participate as a learner in a grid, but you would want to if you decide to create one to use with your class. Educators get one grid like my example above to host video topics and responses for free. To host multiple grids, you'd need to pay for an account. The best part? ANYONE with your code or link can join and collaborate, reflect and respond with you and your class! Interested in learning more? I'd love to meet with you to design a project and help you get comfortable with the educator side! |
